Frequently Asked Questions
I've looked at the photos on the website but the colour or exposure doesn't look correct.
OK. We'll try not to get too techie here....
The computers that we use for editing are calibrated so that what we see on screen is what gets printed on our printers.
Printed output is the end product of our work so the photos that we load to our website are ready to print, however when you view them on screen you are viewing them according to the settings of your graphics card and screen which is not the same way that a printer will print them. Most people have their computers setup to run at much higher colour temperatures than is optimal for printed photographs.
Do you put every photo that you take onto your website?
No. We usually load between 75% - 95% of the photos taken at an event. We discard photos that are duplicates, have poor expressions, embarrassing, or are faulty (we are human and do make the odd mistake!)
Do you always use digital? Is the quality as good as film?
Yes, along with most other photographers we are totally digital. We regularly print images at 19" x 13" and larger which exceed the quality of film.
How long does it take after an event before the photos are on the website?
We aim to load photos within 3 working days, however this does vary according to workload, sometimes a little longer, sometimes we have done it by the next day.
